Job summary

Oxford Learning Richmond Hill - Oak Ridges is seeking a part-time Elementary English Teacher to help young students strengthen reading, writing and language skills. The role is in-person, with pre-planned lessons and training provided.

Work hours are after school and evenings on weekdays (3:30pm–8:00pm) and some Saturdays (10:30am–2:00pm). You will teach up to three students at different levels, follow Oxford Learning methods, and complete daily notes and updates.

Part‑Time Elementary English Teacher Wanted

Do you love to help students succeed in English? We are currently seeking a part‑time English tutor at our learning centre at Oxford Learning Richmond Hill - Oak Ridges. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with young students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language and is passionate about helping students build their skills in these areas. Teachers at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements

All Teacher‑Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after‑school and evening hours on weekdays (3:30pm - 8:00pm) as well as some Saturdays (10:30am - 2:00pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must. This role is in‑person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education
  • University students will be considered

Experience
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring is preferred

  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
