Job summary

Fanshawe College is seeking a part-time Professor of Electrical Techniques to join the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus. This in-person role supports Winter 2027 expansion of the Electrical Techniques program in St. Thomas and offers a flexible daytime schedule Monday through Friday.

You will deliver classroom, laboratory, and shop-based instruction, develop lessons, assess student achievement, and foster an inclusive learning environment. Strong safety and industry knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Credentials listed are required to teach Electrical Techniques.
• Experience or education in electrical trades or engineering is mandatory.
• Ability to develop lesson plans and assess student outcomes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person lectures, labs, and shop sessions for Electrical Techniques.
• Develop lesson plans, labs, demonstrations, and assessments aligned with course outcomes.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Foster inclusive, student-centered learning and use Fanshawe learning systems.
• Collaborate with faculty and campus staff to ensure program quality.
• Explain career pathways in electrical and technology sectors.
