Cambrian College is seeking instructors for part-time Electrical Apprenticeship courses in Belleville, Ontario. Successful candidates will deliver courses using adult education principles, update materials, and ensure content stays current across related programs.

Applicants should be licensed electricians (309A or 442A) with experience mentoring apprentices and a willingness to teach in-person, remotely, or hybrid formats. Post-secondary teaching is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Journeyperson Electrician (309A) or Electrician Industrial (442A).
• Experience mentoring apprentices in diverse industrial settings.
• Post-secondary teaching experience is an asset.
• Commitment to lifelong learning and excellence in teaching.
• Ability to teach in-person, remotely or hybrid delivery.

Responsibilities

• Delivers courses using recognized best practices and principles of adult education.
• Enhances and updates the syllabus and course materials guided by the course outline and existing resources for future faculty.
• Ensures course content remains current, relevant, and aligned with best practices in the associated professional and program areas.
• Creates an inclusive and supportive learning environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
• Develops and applies course learning outcomes and alternative delivery methods.
• Communicates learning outcomes, instructional approaches, and assessment methods clearly to students.
• Evaluates student progress toward learning outcomes and provides timely feedback.
• Designs multimedia resources and uses educational technologies to enhance learning.
• Collaborates with internal and external partners to support a connected learning environment.
• Utilizes the LMS to reinforce student achievement of learning outcomes.
