Job summary

Reach Early Learning Centre (North Delta) invites applications for a regular part-time Early Childhood Educator. Located in Ladner, Delta, this licensed program offers an inclusive, play-based environment with a focus on emergent curriculum and strong family collaboration.

Centre hours are 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and the role involves teamwork with families, teachers, and therapists to support every child.

Qualifications

• ECE Certificate is required, Post Basic ECE Special Needs Citation is preferred
• Minimum of two years of working experience
• Experience working in an inclusive program
• Knowledge and understanding of the B.C. Early Learning Framework

Responsibilities

• Program planning and implementation of the daily curriculum to include indoor/outdoor, active/quiet and individual and group activities.
• Work collaboratively with families, teachers and therapists to ensure the effective inclusion of all children and their families
• Ensure that individual assessment plans are implemented and monitored
• Ensure that all communications and interactions with families display respect for cultural diversity and differing family styles
• Keep abreast of current trends and information in the Early Childhood Education field
• Work collaboratively with the Centre Coordinator, consultants and therapists as needed
