Job summary

Manitoulin Transport in Canada is seeking a Dock/Loader to handle loading and unloading, yard organization, and safety compliance. You will work Tuesday to Saturday starting at 6:00 AM with 2–4 hour shifts on Tue–Fri and 4–8 hour shifts on Saturdays to meet customer needs.

Forklift experience is required. We offer competitive wages and growth opportunities through our dock-to-driver program, with emphasis on safety and reliability in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must work well with others and take direction.
• Be physically fit and lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have forklift experience.
• Able to solve problems when they arise.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers.
• Distribute freight to P&D trailers and trucks.
• Document overages, shortages, and damages; reweigh and cube freight as required.
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean.
• Heavy repeated lifting required; follow Health & Safety and Company policies safely.
• Responsible for claim-free movement and sorting of freight.

Job Description

Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers. Distribute freight to P&D trailers and trucks. Document overages, shortages, and damages; reweigh and cube freight as required. Keep the yard and warehouse clean. Heavy repeated lifting required. Ability to follow Health & Safety and Company policies safely. Responsible for claim-free Movement and sorting of freight.

Tuesdays to Saturdays, starting at 6:00 AM. Tuesday to Friday, work hours vary from 2 to 4 hours, and Saturday hours of work vary from 4 to 8 hours to meet customers' needs.
