Job summary

Manitoulin Transport is seeking a reliable dock worker to unload freight from inbound trailers and load outbound trailers at our Moncton terminal. You will distribute freight to drivers, mark shipments, and document discrepancies while supporting the dock foreman and meeting deadlines with accuracy.

Candidates should have forklift experience and TDG familiarity; AS-400 and M Trac training will be provided. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is required; training for AS-400 and M Trac will be provided to the right candidate.
• TDG experience preferred or required.
• Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from inbound trailers and load outbound trailers.
• Distribute freight to P and D drivers and mark shipments with identifying information.
• Document overstocks, shortages, and damages; reweigh inbound/outbound freight.
• Provide support to the dock foreman and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Operate dock equipment safely and assist with terminal cleanup.

Job Description

• Unloading freight from Inbound Trailers
• Loading Outbound trailers
• Distributing freight to P and D drivers
• Marking shipments with Identifying Information
• Documenting Overages, shortages, and damages
• Reweighing Inbound and Outbound freight
• Provide support to dock foreman
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Attention to detail, and good knowledge of Canadian Geography is an asset.
• Dock Experience is also an asset
• The ideal candidate will be able to successfully and safely operate all dock equipment pertinent to the position
• Checking manifests and inspecting inbound/outbound shipments.
• Assist with the clean up in and around the terminal
