Job summary

Karis Disability Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with developmental disabilities participate fully in their communities. You will assist with daily living activities and work with families, advocates, and partners to promote citizenship and meaningful relationships.

Responsibilities include supporting self-determination, coordinating with the care team, and helping people access transportation and community activities.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
• Valid Saskatchewan Full Class 5 or Novice 2 driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
• 3–6 months experience (volunteer or employment) preferred.
• Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or related post-secondary education preferred.

• Assist with activities of daily living and support individuals in their daily routines.
• Collaborate with families, advocates, friends, and community partners to promote citizenship and relationships.
• Support self-determination and personal development of people we serve.
• Drive within the local community to support activities when needed.

Requirements

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
