Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. in Richmond, BC is seeking a registered nurse to join our pharmacy team.

You will take blood samples, assess vaccination status, and offer indicated vaccines such as influenza, COVID-19, pneumococcus, herpes zoster, or travel vaccines, while supporting care for hypertension, diabetes and anticoagulant therapy. Provide patient instruction on devices like glucometers and blood pressure monitors.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with current licensure.
• Experience with vaccines and vaccination programs is preferred.
• Familiarity with PIQ and travel health is required.

Responsibilities

• Take blood samples from patients.
• Assess vaccination status and offer indicated vaccines (influenza, COVID-19, pneumococcus, herpes zoster, travel vaccines).
• Provide services related to hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, and anticoagulant therapy.
• Provide instruction on use of glucose and blood pressure devices.
• Welcome patients professionally and collaborate with the pharmacy team to develop nursing services.
