Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a licensed nurse to join a local store team in Powell River, BC. You will deliver vaccines, assess health status, and support hypertension, diabetes, and anticoagulant therapy services while collaborating with the pharmacy team to expand nursing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec.
• Hold a DCS or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Be familiar with the PIQ (Québec immunization protocol) and travel health.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status and provide vaccines such as influenza and herpes zoster.
• Identify vaccines based on travel destination.
• Offer services related to hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and anticoagulant therapy.
• Provide instruction on the use of devices such as glucometers and blood pressure monitors.
• Welcome patients in a professional and caring manner.
• Work with the pharmacy team to develop the nursing service offering.
