Job summary

Varsity Community Association in Calgary, AB seeks a permanent part-time Building Maintenance Coordinator to manage day-to-day upkeep of facilities. You will perform inspections, minor repairs, and coordinate external contractors for specialized maintenance, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and proper operation of building systems.

You will schedule preventive maintenance for HVAC and lighting, respond to maintenance requests, monitor supplies, and support event setups.

Qualifications

• Experience in building or facility maintenance, basic repairs and preventive upkeep.
• Knowledge of health, safety and building regulations; apply safe work practices in a community facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day building maintenance and inspections of common areas, event spaces, and childcare areas.
• Execute minor repairs and coordinate external contractors for specialized maintenance.
• Schedule and track preventive maintenance for HVAC, lighting and other building systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests, monitor supplies, and set up/take down event equipment; maintain clear work orders and documentation.
