Job summary

GOLDEN COMMUNITY RESOURCES SOCIETY - WORK BC is seeking a Client Service and Employment Resource Advisor. The role is the initial touchpoint for clients and guests at the Golden WorkBC centre, delivering information, resources and supportive guidance for job search and career planning.

The position supports self-serve services, collaborates with Employment Counsellors and staff to ensure relevant services, and may require some hours outside standard times.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer service in person and virtually.
• Experience working with individuals with complex barriers and diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of local labour market, government programs and job search techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Ability to handle confidential information and undergo a criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Be the first contact for clients and staff at the Golden WorkBC centre.
• Provide information, tools and resources to enable job search and career planning.
• Liaise with Employment Counsellors to align self-serve services with community needs.
• Support clients with basic job search instruction and digital tools.
