Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate in Charlottetown, PE to deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining and organizing the Bakery and Deli areas. You will assist with stocking, taking orders, and helping customers with hot foods and bakery items.

The role involves zone maintenance, rotates stock, ensures pricing and signage, and adheres to food safety standards. The position starts at a minimum hourly rate, with language in both English and French noted in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
• Rotates stock and checks for expired products.
• Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
• Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance.
• Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
