PART-TIME “ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR” - AQUATICS

Supervisor of Aquatics and Recreation Programs

$17.19 - $17.72 as per Schedule "A"

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in delivering Lifesaving Society Swim programs (Preschool, Parent and Tot, Youth, and Adult).
2. Support the instructor by performing duties such as:
3. Assisting in the delivery of swim lessons.
4. Helping evaluate candidates.
5. Addressing questions and concerns from parents.
6. Help with the setup of the deck and pool before instruction and clean up afterward.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Lifesaving Assistant Water Safety Instructor Certificate, Bronze Cross Certificate, or National Lifeguard.
• Standard First Aid and CPR-C certifications.
• Excellent physical condition.
• Ability to interact pleasantly with the public.
• Qualifications must remain current (within two years of certification).

Work Hours:

Up to 48 hours in a two-week period, in accordance with the C.U.P.E., Local 1146 - Inside/Part-time Unit collective agreement.
