Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 1 year accounting experience.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to quickly learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts daily, identify discrepancies, notify parties, journal entries as needed.
• Use computer systems to run databases, extract transaction details, and create reports.
• Calculate, prepare and issue documents related to GL accounts such as invoices, inventory reports, statements.
• Code, totals, batches, enters, verifies and reconciles transactions (AP/AR, payroll, POs, invoices, cheques, bank statements).
• Respond to internal/external information requests, maintain good employee relations and solve problems.
• Perform related clerical duties: word processing, filing, faxing, photocopying.
