Job summary

House of Commons (Canada) / Chambre des communes (Canada) is seeking an Audio-Visual Production Technician for on-site work five days a week. The role supports parliamentary broadcasts, committee events, and special events with teleconferencing and broadcast systems.

The technician will install, test, operate and troubleshoot AV gear, coordinate with clients and teams, and help deliver high-quality productions during live broadcasts. Weekend shifts and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

Post-secondary diploma in broadcasting or A/V technologies or equivalent training.
Experience operating videoconference, teleconference, broadcasting and public address systems.
Experience installing, configuring, testing, operating and supporting A/V equipment in live events.
Experience coordinating with clients and technical teams for live productions.
Experience bilingual environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install, test, operate and troubleshoot teleconferencing, videoconferencing, audio-visual and broadcast systems.
Coordinate with clients, technical teams and external partners to support live productions.
During broadcasts, manage audio, video, graphics and camera operations to ensure quality.
Respond to operational needs, standby support, and potential overtime as required.
