Job summary

The City of Cambridge, ON, is seeking a temporary Parks Operations Technologist to support Parks, Forestry, and Horticulture services. You will review site plans, oversee minor capital projects, manage budgets, and coordinate with Engineering and Planning to ensure smooth transitions from construction to maintenance.

Applicants should hold a three-year college diploma with CET or Landscape Design certification and have at least three years of Parks and Recreation experience.

Qualifications

• Three-year college diploma plus CET or Landscape Design certification.
• Ontario Driver License – Class G.
• Municipal experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Review site plans and engineering drawings for operating impacts.
• Oversee minor capital projects and service contracts for parks.
• Coordinate with staff across operations, planning, and finance.
• Develop standard operating procedures for Parks, Forestry, and Horticulture.
