The City of Cambridge, ON, is seeking a temporary Parks Operations Technologist to support Parks, Forestry, and Horticulture services. You will review site plans, oversee minor capital projects, manage budgets, and coordinate with Engineering and Planning to ensure smooth transitions from construction to maintenance.
Applicants should hold a three-year college diploma with CET or Landscape Design certification and have at least three years of Parks and Recreation experience.

Reporting to the Manager of Operations - Parks, there is an opening for a temporary Parks Operations Technologist. This position will be responsible for the following duties:
Three-year college diploma plus certification in Landscape Design or Certified Engineering Technologist certificate
Landscape Design or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET).
Valid G driver's license.
Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications.
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training Certificate from the Ministry of Labour
This position is within Grade 9 of the Inside Workers Union salary schedule with an hourly range of $45.38- $48.23. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and are an Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) employer.
The current regular hours of work are in accordance with the Collective Agreement, however, currently, we are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (35 hours per week). Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as required.
