Job summary

The City of Brantford is seeking a Supervisor of Parks Design & Development to lead planning, design and implementation of parks, trails and open spaces within the Engineering Services capital program. The role includes supervising design staff and coordinating with Parks & Recreation and other departments.

Ideal candidates hold a Landscape Architecture degree, with five years of municipal park design experience, AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency, and strong project management and communication

Qualifications

  • University degree in Landscape Architecture and eligible for OALA membership.
  • Five years of landscape architecture and municipal park design experience.
  • Experience in contract administration and project management is expected.
  • Proven staff supervision is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist planning, design and implementation of parks, trails and open space developments.
  • Supervise design and development staff within the capital works program.
  • Coordinate with Parks & Recreation asset owner and other departments.
  • Support project management and ensure timely delivery of projects.
