Job summary

The Corporation of the City of Niagara Falls is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to lead the planning, design, and construction of municipal parks, urban realm, trails and open spaces. You will manage budgets, schedules, and contracting processes to deliver projects that enhance city spaces.

Qualifications

• Two-year college diploma in landscape design or project management is required.
• Minimum four years of progressive experience in parks/trails, project management, or related construction management.
• Valid Class G driver's license is required.
• Knowledge of land use planning, construction health & safety and environmental legislation.
• Experience with project management, contractor management, and construction techniques is preferred.
• University degree in Landscape Architecture or related field is an asset.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and digital drawing programs is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage capital park and open space projects within time and budget.
• Prepare contracts, tenders, and staff reports; assist in capital budgets.
• Coordinate with city departments, utilities, and contractors; manage key contacts and issues.
• Maintain project records, schedules, budgets, and documentation throughout the lifecycle.
• Support project close-out activities and transition completed projects to City departments.
