Niagara Parks is currently recruiting for Sales Associates to join our Parking team for the 2025 season. This position compensates at a rate of $19.43 / hr for Seasonal Bargaining Unit and Part-Time employees. Students will be compensated in accordance with Ontario Minimum Wage legislation.

Seasonal Bargaining Unit and Part Time Employees Specific :
- Additional $1.55 / hr for each hour worked in lieu of benefits (seasonal bargaining unit only);

QUALIFICATIONS
- No formal education required. Demonstrated knowledge and experience preferred.
- Previous cash experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures; interpersonal and communication skills; customer service skills; knowledge of NPC facilities and services.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and methods; basic math skills; knowledge of relevant health and safety procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists the Manager or Supervisor with display, merchandise, and price changes, as needed.
- Reports any discrepancies to the Manager or Shift Supervisor.
- Operates a POS system to enter transactions and contacts Supervisor for non-routine transactions.
- Follows established policies and procedures regarding money handling to protect against counterfeit bills.
- Assists in monitoring and reducing shrinkage.
- Audits / balances cash register at the end of the day.
- Secures workstations at the end of shift.
- Required to work weekends, shift work, and holidays.
- Provides knowledge of Niagara Parks attractions and passes, venues including hours of operation, bus routes, and accessibility.
- Provides guests with information, makes suggestions, and gives directions.
- Complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, First Aid, and established policies and procedures.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism with guests.
- Promotes a positive image of the Niagara Parks Commission.
- Provides quality customer service that meets NPC standards; refers all concerns to Supervisor.
- Assists with various organization and cleaning duties.
- As assigned.
