Job summary

The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport is seeking a Park Manager for Moose Mountain Provincial Park to lead day-to-day operations and drive program delivery. Reporting to a Regional Director, you will manage budgets, plans, safety programs, and partnerships to enhance visitor experiences and park stewardship.

You will supervise staff, coordinate contractors, ensure compliance with policy and legislation, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and community partners.

• Experience in park operations and budget management.
• Ability to lead park staff and coordinate across departments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and public service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and oversees annual operating budgets to deliver park programming and capital upgrades.
• Oversees annual operational plans to ensure efficiency, service, asset security and policy compliance.
• Negotiates local partnerships and sponsorships to promote programs and increase revenue.
• Directs park operations including campground management, cottages and park contracts/agreements.
• Directs staffing for seasonal and permanent roles to meet park objectives.
• Ensures safety programs are delivered per OH&S requirements and safe work procedures.
• Collaborates on park management strategies, plans and ecosystem management.
• Interacts with park users and stakeholders to resolve issues locally.
