Canada West Ski Areas Association is seeking an Assistant Alpine Manager at Manning Park Resort to lead daily alpine operations in winter and summer. The role reports to the Operations Manager and collaborates with the Assistant Parks Manager to ensure safety, efficiency, and high guest satisfaction.

You will recruit and supervise seasonal staff, oversee lift operations, grooming, patrol, and training to BC Safety Authority standards, and coordinate with resort-area managers.

Formación

• 3+ years’ experience supervising or managing seasonal employees

Responsabilidades

• Overseeing the daily operations of the ski-hill and associated operations
• Coordinating operations with all Resort-Area managers and staff
• Ensuring proper hiring, scheduling, and oversight of Lift Operations, Grounds, Parking, Patrol, and Grooming
• Completing daily safety checks and opening procedures for all lifts
• Training staff to BC Safety Authority standards, and ensuring all associated policies and procedures meet Z-98 guidelines and CWSAA best practices
• Assisting the Lead Lift Mechanic with maintenance and keeping records up to date
• Ensuring the safe operation of above-ground and surface lifts (Chairlifts, T-Bar, Handle Tow, Conveyors)
• Overseeing Ski-Patrol operations and investigations for lift-related incidents
• Acting as Incident Commander for hill-related emergencies
• Recruiting, reviewing, and overseeing progressive discipline for staff
• Overseeing Camping and Park operations in the summer months in collaboration with the Assistant Parks Manager
