Job summary

triOS College is seeking a Paralegal Program Coordinator to provide academic and program leadership, ensuring delivery complies with College requirements and the Law Society of Ontario standards. You will support faculty, contribute to curriculum review, and collaborate with Operations to ensure quality program delivery.

You will work with Admissions/Marketing for accurate program information and with Career Services to align curriculum with placement outcomes.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a discipline related to the faculty.
• Licensed Paralegal or Lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• At least three years of practice experience in Ontario as a lawyer or paralegal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and use of the Internet.
• Understanding of Adult Learning Principles required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Paralegal program accreditation process for assigned campuses, liaising with the LSO; update curriculum; prepare for audits; and perform other duties as required.
• Monitor delivery to ensure accreditation standards are met and maintained as outlined by the LSO.
• Advise the college on development and delivery of the Paralegal program to meet goals and objectives.
• Coordinate with campus operations to ensure a licensed instructor is present to teach mandatory courses.
• Lead regular faculty meetings to provide program updates related to accreditation standards and instructional practices.
• Conduct periodic classroom observations with documentation that observations occurred.
• Oversee curriculum and assessments to ensure they are current and valid.
• Support Career Services with field placement oversight and liaise with Employment Specialists to check hosts.
• Develop knowledge of the program curriculum as approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
• Understand scheduling summaries and merge models defining what must be taught and the delivery order.
• Develop instructional materials with the Academic Services team; evaluate software/equipment as needed; serve as SME for faculty.
• Consult with Campus Directors on screening and hiring of new faculty (staff/contractors).
• Assist with new instructor orientation detailing course formats and available instructional materials.
