Job summary

Propak Systems Ltd. is seeking a proactive paralegal professional to ensure contracts and legal records are accurate, compliant, and properly maintained.

You will draft, review, and administer various commercial agreements in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Key duties include managing MSAs, NDAs, POs, service and vendor contracts; maintaining contract databases; tracking terms and renewals; and supporting external counsel while ensuring compliance with company policies and Alberta

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Paralegal Studies, Legal Assistant, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a paralegal, legal assistant, or contract administration role.
  • Experience reviewing and managing commercial contracts.
  • Strong understanding of contract terminology and legal documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate contract execution processes and maintain contract databases.
  • Track contract terms, renewals, amendments, expirations, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with legal document management and corporate record maintenance.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research related to commercial and corporate matters.
  • Liaise with internal departments including Operations, Procurement, Finance, Human Resources, and Project Management.
  • Support external legal counsel as required.
  • Ensure documentation complies with company policies and applicable legislation.
  • Assist with risk management initiatives and contract-related reporting.

Job description

  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Purchase Orders and Service Agreements
  • Vendor and Supplier Contracts
  • Confidentiality Agreements
  • Subcontractor Agreements
  • Coordinate contract execution processes and maintain contract databases.
  • Track contract terms, renewals, amendments, expirations, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with legal document management and corporate record maintenance.
  • Conduct legal and regulatory research related to commercial and corporate matters.
  • Liaise with internal departments including Operations, Procurement, Finance, Human Resources, and Project Management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the oil and gas, energy, engineering, construction, or industrial services sectors.

  • Knowledge of Alberta commercial and corporate regulations.
