We’re hiring: Licensed Paralegal – Tribunal and Traffic Court Representation

Job Type: Part-time or Full-time (Flexible)

Start Date: Immediately

We are seeking a licensed paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience and qualifications to represent clients at Tribunal Court (e.g., Landlord and Tenant Board, WSIB, Human Rights Tribunal) and Traffic Court (Provincial Offences Court).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in hearings before tribunals and traffic court.
2. Prepare legal documents, evidence, and submissions.
3. Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and adjudicators.
4. Provide accurate legal advice within the scope of paralegal practice.
5. Maintain client files, notes, and records with confidentiality and accuracy.
6. Attend case conferences, settlement meetings, and prepare reports as required.

Requirements:

1. Must be licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO).
2. Strong knowledge of tribunal procedures and provincial offences.
3. Excellent communication, research, and advocacy skills.
4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple files efficiently.
5. Previous experience in tribunal and/or traffic court is highly preferred.

Accountability:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all legal work is conducted ethically, efficiently, and in compliance with LSO guidelines. Timely updates to clients and the legal team are expected. You will be held accountable for meeting deadlines, attending court appearances, and ensuring proper client representation.
