Job summary

The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a temporary part-time 6-month contract in Windsor. You will provide direct end-of-life care, assess patient needs, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to maintain comfort and dignity for residents.

You will contribute to care planning, mentorship of new staff, and adherence to professional standards while supporting a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• French language skills are an asset.
• Flexible hours including days, nights, weekends in rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care including medication administration and wound care.
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, PSWs and social workers to ensure high-quality end-of-life care.
• Mentor and orient new staff to the Hospice culture and processes.
