Job summary

Scarborough Health Network in Toronto is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse - Palliative Care to work within a busy unit, providing nursing care per plan of care and collaborating with RNs and the multidisciplinary team.

You will engage with patients and families, perform assessments within RPN scope, and maintain documentation with strong communication and organizational skills. SHN values diversity and offers an inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
• Valid BCLS training is required.
• Completed medication course for RPNs is required.
• Proven patient assessment skills within the RPN scope.
• Palliative or Oncology certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care per pre-set plan of care within RPN scope.
• Collaborate with RNs and multidisciplinary team in fast-paced unit.
• Assess patients and document care and changes.
• Maintain ethical conduct and high-quality patient and family care.
• Contribute to safety and quality initiatives.
