Job summary

Spectrum Health Care is seeking a part-time Personal Support Worker (PSW) in Mississauga to support palliative patients with daily living activities and compassionate care. The role works within an integrated care team to enhance quality of life and comfort for patients and families.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to follow care plans, provide companionship, assist with ADLs, and report changes to the Integrated Care Program Supervisor. Travel within the region is required.

Qualifications

1 year minimum experience with palliative patients.
CPR and First Aid certification required.
Valid Personal Support Worker certificate or equivalent program.
RN/RPN student with first-year completed or internationally licensed nurse qualifies.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, hygiene, mobility).
Provide companionship and supportive care aligned with care plans.
Communicate changes in patient condition to supervisor.
Perform light housekeeping tasks related to patient well-being.
Travel within Mississauga region to patient residences or facilities.
