Job summary

Spectrum Health Care is seeking Personal Support Workers to provide compassionate personal care and daily living assistance to patients in their homes or facilities in Ontario. This role requires travel within the assigned region and close collaboration with patients and families to support safe recovery or aging-in-place.

Qualified candidates may hold a PSW certificate, be an RN/RPN student who has completed year one, or be an internationally licensed nurse, midwife, or physician.

Qualifications

• Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate or RN/RPN Student with Year 1 completed or internationally licensed nurse/physician.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 23 kg and assisting clients with mobility.
• Excellent personal care and customer service skills.
• Proficient English communication, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living in patients' residences or facilities.
• Continuously assess and respond to changing needs of patients and coordinate with Total Care resources as needed.
• Perform delegated tasks under supervision of a Home Support Supervisor.
• Travel within the assigned region to reach patients' residences or facilities.
