Job summary

Boardwalk is hiring a short-term painter/maintenance associate in Calgary's SE area. You will prepare surfaces, paint suites as scheduled, and collaborate with site staff to ensure safety and comfort for customers. The role requires good English, a valid driver’s license, and ability to manage supplies and paperwork.

The position runs through October and offers competitive wages, on-demand pay, profit sharing, and RRSP matching among other benefits. A vehicle is preferred for site mobility.

Qualifications

• Previous painting or maintenance experience is asset.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours; lift up to 90 kg with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting (mud, sand, patch, tape).
• Paint suites as scheduled to maintain property standards.
• Maintain daily communication with site associates.
• Clean and maintain painting equipment and materials.
• Manage inventory accurately and complete required paperwork.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Leader.

This is short-term position until end of October. The successful candidate will work at our buildings in the SE area of Calgary.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, comfort and safety of our Customers
• Prepare surfaces for painting by mudding, sanding, patching, taping, etc.
• Painting suites as scheduled
• Ensure daily communication with all site Associates
• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment and painting materials
• Ensure proper and accurate inventory management
• Complete all required paperwork for the position
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the Leader

Experience And Educational Requirements

• Previous painting or maintenance experience is considered an asset

Technical Requirements

• Working knowledge of English language both verbal and written
• Familiarity with technology is an asset
• Valid class 5 driver's license and own vehicle is preferred

Non-Technical Requirements

• Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
• Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment
• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to work independently (self managed) and with other Associates in a team environment
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change and be flexible in nature
