Job summary

Asset Maintenance Pros Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Painting & Drywall to maintain and enhance the visual condition of residential and commercial properties in our Ontario portfolio.

You will handle painting, drywall repair, and finishing to paint-ready standards. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on painting and drywall skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting the broader maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in professional painting (residential and/or commercial).
• Strong hands-on expertise in drywall repair, taping, mudding, sanding, finishing.
• Ability to work independently with good time management and prioritization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior and exterior painting projects across residential and commercial units, including surface prep, priming, finishing, and touch-ups.
• Perform drywall repairs and finishing, including patching, taping, mudding, sanding, and blending to paint-ready standards.
• Ensure surfaces are properly prepared (filling, sanding, caulking, sealing) for high-quality finishes.
• Complete unit turns and refreshes, ensuring suites are ready on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Conduct preventative painting and touch-ups in common areas and high-traffic spaces to maintain appearance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records including work completed, materials used, and time tracking.
• Support general maintenance tasks in collaboration with the broader maintenance team.
• Order, track, and manage painting and drywall materials, ensuring inventory control and cost management.
• Follow health and safety procedures to complete work safely with minimal disruption to residents.
• Coordinate with the Property Manager and maintenance leadership to prioritize workload and timelines.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician – Painting & Drywallis responsible formaintainingand enhancing the visual condition of residential and commercial properties through high-quality painting, drywall repair, and finishing work. This role plays a critical part in unit turns, preventative maintenance, and overall building presentation, ensuring all spaces meet company standards for quality, safety, and appearance.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands‑onexpertisein painting and drywall, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting broader maintenance operations asrequired.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead all interior and exterior painting projects, including surface preparation, priming, finishing, and touch-ups across residential and commercial units
• Perform drywall repairs and finishing, including patching, taping, mudding, sanding, and blending to achieve a paint‑ready standard

• Complete unit turns and refreshes efficiently, ensuring suites are ready on schedule and meet company quality standards

• Maintainaccuratemaintenance records, including work completed, materials used, and time tracking
• Support general maintenance tasks asrequiredin collaboration with the broader maintenance team

• Proven experience in professional painting (residential and/or commercial environments)
• Strong hands‑onexpertisein drywall repair, taping, mudding, sanding, and finishing
• Demonstrated ability to deliver clean, high-quality finishes with strong attention to detail
• Experience with residential unit turns and turnover work considered an asset
• Ability to work independently while managing time and priorities effectively
• Professional, respectful, and calm demeanor when interacting with residents, tenants, and internal team members
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Physically capable of performing the duties of the role, including standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks
