Job summary

Servpro Industries, Inc. is looking for dedicated individuals in Charlottetown, Canada, to join our team in property damage restoration. As a key member, you will respond to emergencies and perform a wide range of restoration activities that make a difference in people's lives.

The ideal candidate has handyman or construction experience and is ready to work on-call, including weekends and holidays. We offer a competitive salary and many benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willing to work on-call shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Previous experience in restoration or construction is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations.

• Load and inventory work vehicles with necessary supplies.
• Communicate safety hazards and job site findings.
• Maintain communication with clients about restoration process.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to water extraction, fire damages, set‑up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean‑up.

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on‑call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
