4Seasons Transportation in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Special Needs School Bus Driver to help students with disabilities arrive safely and with dignity. You will drive on a school route, support mobility devices, and build trust with families and school staff.

We offer paid Class 4 licence training, First Aid/CPR, a take-home vehicle, mentorship, and a culture recognized as a top workplace in Canada. No evenings or major time demands, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of winter driving experience.
• Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Clear driver abstract and background checks.
• Willingness to work Monday–Friday daytime shifts.
• Safe driving and student-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students with disabilities to and from school.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Inspect vehicle daily and maintain clean, safe condition.
• Follow routes using GPS and report issues.
• Assist students with boarding and mobility devices.

Special Needs School Bus Driver

Every day, you'll do more than drive a bus, you'll help students with disabilities arrive safely, confidently, and ready to learn, while building real relationships with the students and families you serve.

What You'll Do:

• Safely transport students with disabilities to and from school
• Build positive, professional relationships with students, families, and school staff
• Create a calm, safe, and supportive environment on your bus
• Assist students with boarding, seating, and securing mobility devices as needed
• Complete daily vehicle pre-trip inspections
• Follow established routes and schedules using GPS and communication technology
• Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of your assigned vehicle, including washing, fueling, and delivering it for scheduled maintenance

Pay: up to $150/day based on 5-6 hours on the road (split AM/PM routes)

What You'll Need:

• Minimum 3 years of winter driving experience
• Monday-Friday availability, both AM and PM (6:30-9:30 am and 1:30-4:30 pm)
• A valid Class 5 (non-GDL) Alberta driver's licence or higher
• Ability to secure parking for the small school bus at or near your home (we'll walk you through what qualifies)
• Comfort with light physical duties, such as assisting students on/off the bus and securing mobility equipment
• A clear driver's abstract, criminal record check, and vulnerable sector check
• Completion of drug testing
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
