Job summary

4Seasons Transportation in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Special Needs School Bus Driver to safely transport students with disabilities to and from school, while building positive relationships with families and staff.

You'll work Monday–Friday with no evenings or weekends, earning CA$21.00–CA$23.00 per hour on 5–6 hour routes, and you'll receive Class 4 licence training, First Aid/CPR, a take-home vehicle, and ongoing support from a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of winter driving experience.
• Monday–Friday availability with AM and PM shifts.
• Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s licence (non-GDL) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students with disabilities to and from school.
• Build positive, professional relationships with students, families, and school staff.
• Create a calm, safe, and supportive environment on your bus.
• Assist students with boarding, seating, and securing mobility devices as needed.
• Complete daily vehicle pre-trip inspections.
• Follow established routes and schedules using GPS and communication technology.
• Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of your assigned vehicle.

What You’ll Do:

• Safely transport students with disabilities to and from school
• Build positive, professional relationships with students, families, and school staff
• Create a calm, safe, and supportive environment on your bus
• Assist students with boarding, seating, and securing mobility devices as needed
• Complete daily vehicle pre-trip inspections
• Follow established routes and schedules using GPS and communication technology
• Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of your assigned vehicle, including washing, fueling, and delivering it for scheduled maintenance

Pay:

up to $150/day based on 5–6 hours on the road (split AM/PM routes)

What You’ll Need:

• Minimum 3 years of winter driving experience
• Monday–Friday availability, both AM and PM (6:30–9:30 am and 1:30–4:30 pm)
• A valid Class 5 (non-GDL) Alberta driver's licence or higher
• Ability to secure parking for the small school bus at or near your home (we'll walk you through what qualifies)
• Comfort with light physical duties, such as assisting students on/off the bus and securing mobility equipment
• A clear driver's abstract, criminal record check, and vulnerable sector check
• Completion of drug testing
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
