Job summary

AMA Driver Education is seeking a Contracted Driving Instructor in Medicine Hat to deliver in-vehicle instruction and mentor new drivers. You’ll work under Alberta Transportation guidelines, using AMA’s safety standards to help students gain licences and confidence on the road.

The role includes after-school and weekend availability, with paid training and a signing bonus for qualified candidates. You’ll operate as your own business with support from AMA’s marketing and registries teams.

Qualifications

• Provincial Driving Instructor Licence (Class 5) or training provided for suitable candidates.
• Class 1–5 licences held for a minimum of 3 years.
• Ability to obtain Class 4 licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality vehicle instruction following AMA’s requirements and customer service standards.
• Follow Alberta Transportation guidelines for Driving Instructors.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students become licensed and safe drivers for life.
• Be available after school, evenings, and weekends to meet scheduling needs.
