Job summary

AMA - Alberta Motor Association invites skilled Driving Instructors to join our team in Alberta. You will provide quality vehicle instruction to students, follow Alberta Transportation guidelines, and help learners become licensed, safe drivers for life.

The role requires after-school, evening, and weekend availability, and AMA offers competitive salary, benefits, retirement savings, travel medical insurance, discounts, professional development, paid vacation, volunteer day and Me Day, plus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Class 1, 2, or 4 Alberta Operator’s Licence.
• Minimum two years licensed as a Driving Instructor with appropriate endorsements.
• Minimum two years’ experience across multiple areas of driver education.
• Clean Driver’s Abstract (10 years).
• Ability to obtain security clearance, including Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, travel as required, and adjust schedules to meet business needs.
• Strong instructional, communication, and leadership skills.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Reporting to the Supervisor, Novice Instruction, you will provide quality vehicle instruction to students, following AMA’s instruction requirements and customer service standards.
• Follow Alberta Transportation guidelines and policies for Driving Instructors.
• Provide constructive feedback on student drivers’ abilities, helping them develop the confidence and skills necessary to become licensed, safe drivers for life.
• Be available after school, evenings, and weekends, to meet students’ scheduling needs.

What You Bring to the Table

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Class 1, 2, or 4 Alberta Operator’s Licence
• Minimum two years licensed as a Driving Instructor with appropriate endorsements
