Job summary

Parkland County is hiring a Firefighter (Paid-on-Call) to support Parkland County Fire Services. You will respond to emergencies including fires, medical calls, and vehicle incidents as part of a paid-on-call team on-site in Parkland County, AB.

The role requires mandatory orientation and recruit training, with opportunities for ongoing development and community safety work. The position covers firefighting, training, and public safety duties at multiple stations in Acheson, Parkland Village,

Qualifications

• Must have a high-school diploma and be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of firefighting techniques is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency incidents (fires, medical calls, MVAs, etc.) when available.
• Participate in regular training and preventative maintenance.
• Support staffing at multiple Parkland County Fire Stations: Acheson, Parkland Village, Tomahawk and Wabamun.
