Job summary

The Town of Blue Mountains invites applications for a Paid Per Call Firefighter in Blue Mountains, ON. You will respond to emergencies, assist in fire suppression, rescue operations and public safety programs as part of a dedicated Fire Services team.

This full-time, on-site position requires strong physical fitness, the ability to work under pressure, and a valid DZ license with minimal demerit points. Training, annual PPE, and a supportive workplace are provided.

Qualifications

• Physical fitness capable of prolonged arduous work.
• Ability to make quick decisions in emergencies.
• Good written and oral communication in English.
• Valid DZ license with limited demerits.

Responsibilities

• Provide first response, fire suppression, rescue and specialized operations.
• Perform vehicle extrication and water rescue as needed.
• Support fire prevention and public education programs.
• Maintain equipment per SOPs and participate in training sessions.
• Work within incident management systems to protect lives and property.
