Job summary

St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto is seeking a Part-Time Permanent Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU).

The PACU team cares for day surgery and post-operative patients in a large, fast-paced environment, emphasizing evidence-based, patient-centered care and inter-professional collaboration. The role requires current CNO General Class registration, BLS (ACLS preferred), PACU experience (minimum 1 year) and the ability to work in a high‑tech setting while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Current General Class Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS certification preferred.
• PACU experience is required; critical care knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care in the PACU.
• Coordinate and communicate patient care activities with inter-professional team.
• Ensure safe, effective and ethical nursing care in a high‑volume unit.
