Job summary

Canada Packers Inc. is actively seeking a Production Operator at the Souris Feed Mill to contribute to a safe, efficient and team-driven production environment. This hands-on role supports timely output and quality in producing animal feed.

You will work rotating shifts, collaborate with maintenance technicians and truck drivers, and help maintain daily production targets with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg

Responsibilities

  • Working with machines, equipment & computer systems to produce animal feed
  • Completing required paperwork for assigned tasks
  • Following manufacturing practices & safety policies
  • Following housekeeping standards
  • Operating plant equipment to achieve daily production targets
  • Performing troubleshooting and minor repairs on machines
  • Communicating changes in product flow or equipment issues to Team Lead or Maintenance
  • Collecting raw material and final product samples and performing tests to ensure quality
  • Measuring & weighing of ingredients
  • Following quality standards and documenting feed safety

About This Opportunity

Location: Souris Feed Mill

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Salary: Starting wage from $19.00 per hour.

Schedule: Rotating shifts that include weekends, and holidays.

Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can be part of a team that keeps things moving? As a Production Operator at Canada Packers, you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality animal feed in a safe, efficient, and team-driven environment.

This position is part of a collaborative team that includes maintenance technicians and truck drivers, all working together to meet daily production goals. If you enjoy working with machines, solving problems, and being part of a fast-paced operation, this could be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with machines, equipment & computer systems to produce animal feed
  • Completing required paperwork for assigned tasks
  • Following manufacturing practices & safety policies
  • Following housekeeping standards
  • Operation of plant equipment to achieve daily production targets
  • Performing troubleshooting and minor repairs on machines
  • Communicating any changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, shortages or deviations from specifications to Team Lead or Maintenance
  • Collecting raw material and final product samples and performing tests to ensure raw material and final product meet specifications
  • Measuring & weighing of ingredients
  • Following quality standards and ensuring proper documentation for feed safety
Skills & Experience
