Job summary

IQ Resource Group is currently seeking a Packaging Operator in Neenah, WI, starting at $20.45/hr. The role runs 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with responsibilities to operate the packaging machine and maintain target production rates.

You will read job orders, set up and adjust equipment, monitor quality, and troubleshoot issues with strappers, heat tunnels, drills, labelers, staplers and tapers. A GED or high school diploma is required.

Are you looking for a job that keeps you busy and where the day flies by? IQ Resource Group is currently seeking a Packaging Operator starting at $20.45hr in Neenah, WI.

Location: Neenah, WI Wage: $20.45hr Hours: 6am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday

Position Overview:

The primary responsibility is to operate the machine at or above target rates of the operation. The operator is also required to understand and troubleshoot the Strappers, Heat tunnels, Drills, Labelers, Staplers, and Tapers, associated with their line. The Operator will work closely with the Trimmer Operators and boxers to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of product.

Responsibilities:

• Hand feed packages into the packaging machine.
• Read and understand job order description to determine job set-up. Setup entire machine properly and efficiently to match order specifications.
• Understand and perform adjustments to minimize wear/damage.
• Strive to safely run machine at or above target production levels on a consistent basis.
• Troubleshoot problems and malfunctions that are within your capability. Recognize when help from the Supervisor or Maintenance is needed and seek assistance accordingly.
• Monitor quality on a regular basis and check both sides for defects. Take corrective action as needed to meet quality expectations.
• Make sure correct package label is used for each customer.
• Work in a safe manner. Observe all machinery safety guidelines. Report any safety issues to the Floor Supervisor.
• Run machine; observe operation and functions, checking for proper operation and worn or broken parts.
• Oil and grease machine per lubrication schedule.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
