Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Package parts from the production line following the Quality Control Plan.
• Assemble boxes/crates and label them according to specifications.
• Taping, boxing, and labeling of products as per plan.
• Read and follow the Production Report and control plan details.
• Measure parts with a caliper and record results.
• Ensure hopper is stocked with raw material and notify supervisor when low.
• Tear down and set up new jobs and assist with other duties as assigned.

• 2:50pm-11pm Monday-Friday
• 10:50pm- 7am Monday-Friday

Position Overview

A successful Operator must have a high level of work commitment, attention to detail and the ability to learn and follow plans. They must package parts from production line in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Adjust machines setting to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities

• Know where to find appropriate boxes and skids for the job
• Making boxes/crates via use of stapler and/or nail gun
• Packing merchandise in boxes/crates according to appropriate counts found on Quality Control Plan
• Taping/banding boxes/crates
• Completion of labels for boxes/crates
• Affixing appropriate labels to boxes/crates/reels according to Quality Control Plan
• Quality Control Plan: employee must know how to read, understand and be able to accurately complete the Production Report according to specifications found in the Quality Control Plan
• Caliper: ability to measure and read accurately
• Collect and measure samples using caliper according to control plan, and record results
• Ensure hopper is full of raw material; notify Shift Supervisor when product is low
• Measure and mix colorant into raw material to ensure maintains appropriate color for project, specifications found on control plan
• Tear down and set up new jobs
• Other Duties As Assigned

Education / Experience

• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus
• High School diploma or its equivalent
• Frequent: Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting (up to 50 lbs), pushing, pulling, and moving items
• Identifying and reading reports, labels, packing materials
• Ability to operate a forklift: upon completion of in house certification
