Job summary

Organigram Global is seeking Flex Machine Operators for the packaging department to set up, troubleshoot, and run packaging machinery on a day shift with possible night shifts during launches or seasonal increases. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and close teamwork to ensure smooth production and high output.

Responsibilities include starting cycles with labelers and printers, adjusting speeds, feeding materials, inspecting parts, logging outputs, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a machine operator.
• Must be able to work various shift schedules as required.

• Experience in problem solving and following detailed procedures.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear).
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Ability to multi-task and be willing to learn and adapt to change.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging team environment.
• Ability to work according to tight schedules and timelines.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
• Must remain in compliance with provincial and federal regulations, and internal company policies.
• Physically fit; standing and/or sitting will be required for long periods of time and must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Required to pass a criminal background check

Job description

The Flex Machine Operators are responsible for set up, troubleshooting and operation of machinery in the packaging department. You will primarily work a day shift schedule but may be required to work intervals on the night shift as needs arise (i.e. launches / seasonal volume increases). We will provide you with notice when you change shifts (from days to nights). You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of packaging. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail, safety standards and can run equipment with consistently good output. Being a team playeris essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly tomaximize efficiency.

Schedule

• Continental rotating shift schedule: 4 days one week, 3 days the following week
• Night Shift Hours: Sun – Sat. 7:45pm - 7:45am (12 hours)
• Day Shift Hours: Sun – Sat. 7:30am – 8:00pm (12.5 hours)
• Breaks are to be broken up based on team needs and discussed with Supervisor/Manager
