Job summary

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. in Canada seeks a Packaging Technical Line Leader to oversee a production line within the Packaging Department.

You will ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are met while supervising a team of production workers, including full-time and temporary associates. Responsibilities include optimizing line performance, maintaining SOPs, and coordinating with QA, maintenance, and IT.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Clear understanding of current cGMP standards.
• Minimum of 3 years of packaging experience in pharma/food/cosmetics.
• Mechanical aptitude: changeover, parts replacement and basic maintenance.
• Experience with tools/equipment including filling, cartonIng, pumps and motorized material handling.
• Ability to perform arithmetic operations and percentages.
• Excellent English communication, both written and verbal, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred.
• Excellent organization and leadership skills; adapt to fast-paced production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the packaging line to meet daily and weekly goals.
• Complete training and maintain records; monitor SOP compliance.
• Maintain equipment logs and batch records in SAP/MES.
• Conduct in-process checks and participate in line clearance and audits.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, and CAPA activities are performed.
• Supervise and train production staff; delegate tasks to team members.
• Manage inventory/ material usage and report issues to maintenance and IT.
