Nortera Foods Inc. is seeking highly motivated, energetic individuals to join our Packaging department as a General Labourer.

The General Labourer is responsible for ensuring the highest quality product is packaged while following all training, safe work instructions, company policies, and established procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to teamwork, as employees work closely with others and may be required to perform multiple tasks throughout a production shift.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of speaking, reading, and writing English at Level 3.
• Able to work in refrigerated environment and wet/cold areas.
• Able to meet minimum dexterity: bending, lifting, standing, etc.
• Rotating continental shifts with bi-weekly rotation and overtime.
• Heavylifting capability up to 32 kg (70 lbs) repeatedly.
• Demonstrated punctuality, reliability and teamwork.
• Able to climb ladders and work at heights up to 20 ft.

Responsibilities

• Case piling: lift and stack finished product cases onto pallets.
• Tote dumping: transfer frozen product from totes into hoppers.
• Utility: prepare bulk totes, housekeeping and support production.
• Perform other duties to maintain a safe, clean, productive environment.
