Job summary

Nortera Foods Inc. in Tecumseh, Ontario, is seeking a General Labourer for its Packaging department. The role involves ensuring the highest quality product is packaged while following training and safety procedures.

You will work in a fast-paced production setting with rotating shifts and a heavy lifting requirement, contributing to a collaborative team focused on safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English at a Level 3 requirement.
• Able to work in a refrigerated environment and wet/soapy areas.
• Must meet minimum dexterity requirements: bending, twisting, lifting, etc.
• Willingness to learn and be punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Case Piling: safely lift and stack finished product cases onto pallets using proper lifting techniques.
• Tote Dumping: transfer frozen product from bulk totes into hoppers for blending, packaging, and shipping.
• Utility: prepare bulk totes, perform housekeeping, assist with tote dumping, and support production activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
