Job summary

Adecco is hiring several Packaging Associates to work for our cannabis client in Smith Falls, ON. You will package and box finished product, handle materials, and assist with production reporting while maintaining a safe work environment.

We also seek candidates to support propagation, encapsulation and pre roll departments. Pay rate is $17.60/hour with weekly pay, benefits after qualification, training programs, and a $150 sign-on bonus after 240 hours.

Job description

Adecco is currently hiring several Packaging Associates to work for our client in the cannabis industry in Smith Falls, ON. In this position you will package and box finished product; be responsible for material handling and production reporting, and maintain a safe work environment. Additionally, we are seeking candidates to support the propagation, encapsulation and pre roll departments.

  • Pay Rate: $17.60/hour
  • Location: Smith Falls, ON
  • Shift: 6:00am - 4:00pm
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities
  • Working along with the rest of the manufacturing team, you will work to understand and exceed the clients customer expectations.
  • Manufacturing experience not required
  • You are a fast-learner with strong attention to detail and have excellent time-management skills.
  • You will be expected to operate or work near moving machinery.
  • Personal protective equipment required: safety shoes
  • This position will require the flexibility to work in numerous areas in the facility. This will mean that the exposures/demands may change throughout your placement time.
  • Have a proven track record of possessing a proactive mindset in the areas of safety, quality, productivity and waste reduction.
  • You will be a member of a highly efficient team that needs to be dynamic and flexible to respond to business needs, scheduling, and loading
  • Able to work a set scheduled shift schedule up to 40 hours
Qualifications
  • Must have a clear criminal background
  • Must have meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to carry out often repetitive tasks at a continuously high level of quality
  • Willingness and flexibility to complete any task that may be required
  • Must be at least 19 years of age to work in the Cannabis Industry
  • Personal protective equipment required: safety shoes
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
