Job summary

Harv Wilkening Transport Ltd. is seeking Independent Contractor Teams for its domestic fleet, running Winnipeg to Toronto and back twice per week. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and professional customer service as you handle freight and documents across a two‑city route.

Requirements include a Class 1A license, at least two years of verifiable truck driving experience, and the ability to operate in all terrains with heaters and reefers. A current driver’s abstract must be provided.

Qualifications

• Class 1A license required.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
• Ability to drive in all terrains and operate heaters/reefers.
• Professional appearance and good hygiene.
• Safe driving record verified by a current driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of freight in a safe and efficient manner.
• Handle freight and freight documents.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
• Professional communication with customers.
• Ensure 100% safety compliance.
• Perform other duties as requested; duties may vary to meet operational needs.

This position is running Winnipeg - Toronto - Winnipeg two times per week.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of freight in a safe and efficient manner
• Handle freight and freight documents
• Perform Pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks
• Professional communication with customers
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety
• Perform all other duties as requested
• DUTIES WILL VARY TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE OPERATION
