Job summary

Manitoulin Transport is seeking an independent owner-operator to support local pick-up and delivery services in the Regina terminal area. You will be operating under the carrier's safety code and fleet insurance program.

The role requires reliable, licensed operators with the ability to meet regulatory requirements, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and manage dock services as needed. A strong focus on safety and service excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• Class One License is required.
• 1 year of experience is expected.
• Responsible for loading/unloading freight.
• Good understanding of Hours of Service regulations.
• Forklift ticket is an asset.
• TDG, WHMIS, and forklift experience are assets.
• Must provide a criminal record check, driver’s abstract, and 2 references confirming service delivery.

Job Description

We are looking to onboard an independent owner-operator to join our team in support of the Carrier's transportation needs and to service its customers. This Owner-Operator will be granted the option to operate under the Carrier's Nation Safety Code and Fleet Insurance Program.

Business Opportunity

We wish to partner with an independent incorporated business to provide a current model truck and qualified operator to provide local pick-up and delivery services within the service area of the ReginaTerminal.

The Services require business flexibility but are generally required over 5 days per week and may include some weekends. Operational flexibility is a must.

The qualified operator is responsible for meeting all regulatory requirements, including Pre and post-trip inspections of equipment, and may include the delivery of periodic dock services to load and unload freight as required.

Operate within the standards and requirements as outlined in the services contract.

The Business must provide WCB Coverage to its Operators

Responsible for the pickup and delivery of freight within the Reginaservice area, while adhering to company policies and procedures

Efficiently and safely picking up and delivering LTL freight

Operator Qualifications
