Job summary

Fortigo Freight Inc. is seeking a yard shunting driver based at our Lachine operations. You will start at 6:00 AM, Monday through Friday, parking at the customer plant in Lachine and ending the day there.

You will shuttle between Beauharnois, Lachine, Pointe-Claire and an overflow yard, perform inventory, load and move liquid tankers, and require an Android phone and fluent French to succeed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class 1 license.
• 2 years of Class 1 experience.
• Vehicle 2016 or newer; raised fifth wheel required.
• Comfortable moving loaded liquid tankers.
• Must understand and speak French.
• Android phone required for duties.

Responsibilities

• Leave from Lachine for yard shunting and transfers between Beauharnois, Lachine, Pointe-Claire and overflow yard.
• Perform standard yard shunting activities including yard inventory.
• Move and load tanker at customer locations in Beauharnois.
• Move empty tankers to designated washing locations in Lachine and La Prairie.

• Perform standard yard shunting activities including yard inventory.
• Move and load tanker at customer’s vendor location in Beauharnois.
• Move empty tankers to and from customer’s designated washing locationsin Lachine and La Prairie

Qualifications and Skills

• Clean abstracts and criminal search required.
• 2 years of Class 1 experience.
• 2016or newer Vehicle. Raised fifth wheel required.
• Must be comfortable moving loaded liquid tankers.
• Must understand and speak French.
• You are required to have an Android phone.
